Higher Education
It is never too early to start thinking about and planning for your child's higher education. The Common app previously "Reach Higher" is a website that aides parents in planning, applying, and paying for college. Reach Higher was an initiative started by Michelle Obama.
Parents instructional videos
PowerSchoolPowerSchool allow parents access to student information such as attendance and grades. The PowerSchool platform is utilized in all schools in the WCCUSD. Watch this video to learn how to access and use PowerSchool.

PeachJarThis year, the WCCUSC has started the use of Peach Jar as a method to distribute flyers and lessen the amount of paper flyers.

Practices for African American Student Support & Services (PAASSS)
The WCCUSD in response to the African American achievement gap created PAASSS to provide support and services to African American students and families. Out of those efforts the African American Parent Council (AAPAC) was set to be established and implemented in all schools in the district by June of 2020. If you would like to learn more about PAASSS, please watch the WCCUSC PAASSS video. |

Parent University
Parent University is a seven-session weekly set of courses offered through the West Contra Costa Unified School District (WCCUSD), designed to foster parent engagement and create active parent leaders. Parents will learn about a variety of topics and participate in activities that build inclusivity amongst parents and foster community. This course is generally offered in the Spring.
